Why use PVC Flex Face Signs instead of Chromadek?
The advantage of a Flex Face Sign when compared to a Chromadek sign is that it is lighter and involves less strain on the frame and the posts, is significantly cheaper to manufacture and/or replace than a Chromadek face. It is generally a tidier sign – and among other things, Chromadek panels have a lot of pop rivets every 1.2 meters, where a Flex Face signs are placed at 3 meters and the join-line is less noticeable.
How cheaper are the PVC Signs vs. Chromadek Signs?
Flex Face signs are banners tensioned over a square-tubed frame and is an estimated 20% cheaper than signage with Chromadek faces.
When is it best to use PVC Flex Face Signs ?
Apart from the material used for the face printing, the specifications for Chromadek and Flex Face are the same. In the case where an outdoor sign has a surface exceeding 8m2 (the equivalent of 4m x 2 m) we usually recommend Flex Face signs as an alternative to a Chromadek face.
What are the disadvantages of using PVC Flex Face Signs?
The only downside with a Flex Face billboard is that it will start to fade about 6 -12 months earlier than Chromadek signs, which only starts to fade after approximately 2.5 – 3 years when exposed to the adverse weather conditions on a permanent basis.
