What are the advantages of lightboxes ?
The greatest advantage of a light box over any other type of signage is the fact that you get twice the exposure: during the day and then again as soon as the sign lights up at night! Light boxes are more fashionable and exclusive than any traditional advertising boards. At Printex not only do we manufacture outdoor light boxes, we also offer maintenance and restoration on existing Light Boxes.
What type of face materials are used to show the graphic on the light box?
Available sizes for Perspex panels are limited to 3050mm x 2030mm, therefore, if the length of the light box exceeds these dimensions, we will need to use a translucent PVC for the face. To the naked eye there is no difference in quality between Perspex and PVC. Flex Face panels have the advantage of being slightly cheaper than a Perspex face panel but although the material itself is much cheaper, an additional frame must be constructed to tension the Flex face. This process is labour intensive and requires additional raw materials for the construction.
When Perspex is used, we print the design on a translucent vinyl sticker which is laminated and applied onto the Perspex panel whereas with Flex Face we print directly onto the PVC.
What considerations are factored in when calculating the installation price of light boxes?
Installation costs of Light Boxes are dependent on the following factors:
Your location
How the sign is fixed, for example: against a wall, on a post or other.
The height between ground level and the top of the sign
Printex supplies either indoor lightbox or outdoor lightbox options.
